Pick it for the small boat: no more than 11 guests, swim stops away from the big excursion ships, and a perfect 5.0 rating.

Full-Day Kornati National Park Boat Tour

About this experience

Kornati National Park covers 217 km2, about three-quarters of it sea, and counts 89 islands. You can only visit by boat, and every visitor needs a park ticket for the day. This tour handles both: a speedboat with a skipper from Šibenik and the national park entrance ticket, plus water, beer and juice on board. The boat takes no more than 11 people, and one guest had the boat almost to themselves.

You leave from the pier in front of the D-Resort hotel and cruise down the Šibenik channel, past military bunkers, a sea tunnel and St Nicholas Fortress. The boat passes the fortress and does not land: St Nicholas Fortress, the UNESCO-listed sea fort at the mouth of the channel, is visited only on its own official boat tour. Its 2026 season ran from 5 May to 18 October, and the 2027 dates are not out yet. Next comes Bavljenac, the small island whose dry-stone walls look like a giant fingerprint from above. About an hour out, you enter the outer Kornati, known for rock faces that drop straight into the sea. The first stop is for swimming, snorkelling, cliff diving or simply the view.

Lunch is at a tavern on the island of Smokvica, at your own cost: the one thing to budget for. The way back threads the inner Kornati past the old Tarac fortress, with a last stop in Prvić Luka for a coffee or an ice cream before the boat returns to Šibenik. The listing has 5.0 stars from 19 reviews, and guests name the skippers Lucas, Eddy and Christian. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before.

What guests say

★★★★★

Fabulous day trip aboard a boat for up to 11 people, with just the three of us and our skipper! [...] Swimming in different spots, each one more unusual than the last, with stops at cafés and restaurants. Unlimited cold drinks on board. Lucas, our skipper, took great care of us.

The Kornati National Park is beautiful. The day on the boat is excellent because it allows us to see the most beautiful places with some explanations from the guide. We were able to take a few breaks for walks or swimming. It was much better than renting a boat because we would not have known where to go (it's very big!).

We traveled in a small group of 6 people in a speed boat. The driver Eddy was enthusiastic, attentive and gave everyone space. The trip was definitely worth the price!!! It was a wonderfully relaxed day where we saw a lot and enjoyed swimming in magnificent bays away from the crowds.

What a brilliant way to spend a day, we loved every minute of it. If you get the chance to do this, do it.

Tips before you book

  • Bring a windbreaker, sunglasses, swimwear, a towel and sunscreen, as the listing asks. A speedboat at sea is windy even in August.
  • Carry cash or a card for lunch on Smokvica and a coffee in Prvić Luka. Neither is included.
  • Leave luggage and large bags at your hotel. The listing does not allow them on board.
  • Keep a free day as a back-up. The itinerary may change with the weather, and free cancellation up to 24 hours before helps.
